Foxton Borough Council.
The usual monthly meeting of the above Council was held at the Library buildings yesterday afternoon at 2 )'clock. Present — The Mayor (G. Nye), Crs Westwood, Walsh, Osborne, Coley, Border and Hennes3y« The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE. The following correspondence was read : — From B. Spelinan, applying for 10s for Webb for nursing J. Reeve, also for 63 for cleaning room. From J. O'Sullivan, asking for section? 68 and 64, Foxton, to ba charged on ratebook for future to A. C. Barlow. From Horowhenua County, sending particulars of disbursements on account of Licensing Committee. From H. Blake, passing Andrews' j oontract at cricket pitch. i From Department of Agriculture, sending several receipts for poison for t-mall birds. From E. Deßidder, asking for rates to be remitted. From the Registrar of Dogs, giving in return of 170 dogs for which £82 5 3 had been received. The lato collector had only 106 dogs registered and the amount of £19 2s 6d was only received. The Poundkeeper's Report for the past three months showed 58 cattle and 40 horses impounded and the foes £2 9*. ACCOUNTS. The following accounts were passed for payment : — J.
