The Bight Honourable and Right Reverend Frederick Temple, Bishop of London, has been appointed to succeed the late De Benson aa Archbishop of Canterbury.
In a speech, Sir John Gorst, vicepresident of the Council, said that if there was a tolerably unanimous demand for a rate for aided voluntary schools, the Government would consider the matter.
Consequent upon the recent rise in wheat and flour, the price of bread in London has risen a half* penny.
