Ladies and Gbntlemeh,— TJAVING been asked by a large number of the Electors to contest the Manawatu Seat, it is therefore my intention to comply with the request of my friends, and as soon as Parliament is prorogued, I will take the earliest opportunity of addressing you upon some of the political questions of the day. Ladies and Gentlemen, In consequence of a very generally expressed desire, I intend contesting the Manawatu seat, and I shall do so as a pronounced opponent of the present Government.
