The Millionth Man.
♦. ; The millionth visitipr entered the Earl's Court Exhibition on Bank Holiday at 3.50. He proved to be E. J. Biggs, an engine-driver on the City and S. London Electric Railway, residing at 67, Sefton-st., Putney. From 1 o'clock all the entrances were placed in communication, and reports were made first in hundreds, then in twenty fives, tens, and at last in fives. As Mr Biggs passed the turnstile, he was stopped by one of the officials, who inquired of him his name and address. To this he replied, " What is the matter ? What do you want it for?" Upon being informed that he was the millionth visitor to the exhibition and was tbe owner of a valuable demi -hunter gold watch, he showed considerable surprise. The presentation took place from the bandstand in the Queen's Court, and was made publicly by Mr H. J. Hartley. Mr Biggs received the watch with a hearty " Thank you," and was loudly cheered by the crowd. At 9 in the evening the 11 millionth visitor " was presented to the audience at the Empress Theatre.
