Good Templar's Social.
« Last Tuesday night the Sisters of the above Lodge entertained over 50 members at a substantial supper. The Hall was decorated for the event with laurels, willow?, and flovtcrs. During the evening a number of songs were pung, Sis. E. Spring contributing " There's no one like Mother to me," Bro. Garriek, in □igger costume, sang " Where did you get that hat ?" and in response to an encore sang " And the verdict was.' 1 Sis. Nellie Walker recited " Some* body's Mother," and Sis. C. Walker recited " The social glass;" Sis. Rose Battersby recited " k Scolding Wifo," and then Sis. Imrie and Bro. Garrick sang the duet " Sweet Marie." Sis. Hetty Simpson sang " Take me back to. Switzerland." Bros. R. Walden and D. Norton also sang, the latter giving " Poor Little Joe." Every one present enjoyed themselves immensely, and Bro. Morgan proposed, audßro. Oarriok seconded, a vote of (hanks for the kind way in which the Sisters bad entertained the Brothers, and for the trouble they had taken in decorating the ball. Sister 0. Saville suitably responded.
