Franks & Brown's Troupe.

— ♦- Last night the above comply gave an entertainment at the Ptimic Hall, when the audience was moderate but their plaudits were not. The company numbers ten all told and has in it Franks, who came out from America with the well-known Billy Emerson ; Carl Brown a Dutch comedian and character vocalist, Miss Annie Gray, a graceful song and dance artiste ; Miss Baby Gordon a prima donna and serio comic singer ; Miss Nellie Brownlow a pleasing contralto ; Miss Anvertine, who is a daring aerial artiste ; and Fred Miller lately from the Tivoli Theatre Bydney. The first part of the performance consisted of the usual ministrel business, the jokes being original and funny, and the songs were well received, several of them, those of Franks and Carl Brown, being vociferously encored. In the second part there were Bome splendid acrobatic feats, and several songs and dances, including the high kicking, and skirt, were contributed by the members. The entertainment concluded with a side splitting farce.
