The wife of President Krugor is in a very critical condition of health.
Negotiations for peace with the Matabele continue, and several of the chiefa are said to be anxious to stop fighting.
Cecil Rhodes has rejected several of the proposed conditions under which the strife phould be ended, and has warned the natives that they will be " trapped like rabbits " unless they surrender.
