Return of the Fram.

Dr Nansen's vessel, the Frara, which he and Johansen left embedded in the ice in March, 1895, when they started on their sledge trip towards the North Pole, from which they returned via Franz Josef Land, has arrived at Tromso, a town among the northerly fiords of Norway. Those of the crew who were left behind in the Fram succeeded in navigating her safely back when the ice broke up.

They called at Spitzbergen, and report that up to a week ago M. Andree had been unable to make a start in his balloon, as the winds had been adverse.
