Shannon Station Broken Into.

Some time last night an enter* prising burglar broke into the Shannon railway station, but did not succeed in opening the safe. It would appear, from there being no marks of violence, that the door had been opened with a duplicate key, for the lock was not injured. The Company have patent locks on their doors, so that ordinary keys would be of no use. There was a rifle in the room, which is missed, and a few other small items. As usual, there is no clue as to the identity of the burglar. The robbery was only discovered this morning when Mr Hill, the stationmaster, went down to the office.
