The Royal Burlesque and Comedy Company.
The above company will make their first appearance in Foxton at the Public Hall on Thursday next The performance will commence with the farcical comedy in one act
"Confusion." It is replete with awkward situations all through, the mixing up of a pug dog and a baby and the trouble arising therefrom is said to be exceedingly funny. The performance will conclude with the burlesque ot " Sinbad, the Sailor," in which the whole strength of the company will appear. All the latest song? and dances and ballets will be introduced, and these in conjunction with marches, tableiux, and pretty faces will be a very tempting bill-of-fare, The company is headed by the eccentric comedian, Mr Will Stevens, who has created quite a furore in New Zealand with his comic songs and witty sayings. The box plan is now open at Fraser'3, stationer's, and those who wish to have a real treat should not miss being at the hall on Thursday night.
