IN RE S. M. BAKER,
The statement of accounts in the estate of Samuel Marsden Baker, studraaster, of Flemington, Wanganui, as filed with Mr J. Notman, D.0.A., shows total liabilities amounting to ,£622 9j, as against total assets estimated to realise £1600, thus leaving a surplus of £977 11s. In all there are 40 creditors, all unsecured, those of £5 and over being: — Bank of New Zea land, £75 15s Id ; J. H. Hankins, solicitor, £55 18s 2d ; W. L. Harper, groom, £5 ; and R. Webb, groom, £10 2a all of Palmerston ; Mrs Powell (Aramoho), £10; A. Hatrick and Co., £2 9s 2d ; Horsley and Co., £12 19a 9d ; E. M. Crammond, (Aramoho), £217 15s 7d ; W. Homes (Bulls), £10 13s; Charles W. Tringham, solicitor (Welling* ton), £8 7s 6d ; Leary & Co. (Wellington), £19 123 Id ; R. Harwood, labourer (Foxton), £40 ; W. Tempsitb (Manukau) £6 4s ; J. N. Williams (Hastings) £50. The assets consist of stud and racehorses, estimated at £1500, and book debts £182 15s, estimated to realise £100. The horses referred to above, together with the respective estimated values, are as follows : — At Kereru, Manawatu : Somnus, £500 ; Lochnagar, £250 ; 8-year old colt, £100; Nina, £20; Fugitive, £20. Ai Flemington, Wanganui : Rangatira, £100 ; Lady Artist, £100; Wairuareka, £100; Patience, £50 ; 8 year-old filly, £50 ; Mabel, £50; Lady Artist yearling, £50 ; Wairuareka filly, £30 ; Lucky filly, £20; Mabel filly, £10 ; Fugitive filly, £10 ; Patience filly, £10 ; Brown Bess, £10 ; Brown Bess colt, £10; Patience foal, £10.
The first meeting of creditors takes place on Tuesday next, at 2.30 o'clock, at the office of the D.O A. — Chronicle.
