The marriage of the Princess Maud of Wales and Prince Charles of Denmark took place at Buckingham Palace on Thursday. I The Queen oooupied a position in front of the altar. The Bishops of Winchester and London and the Queen's chaplain assisted the Archbishop of Canterbury in performing the ceremony. The Princess was dressed in white satin. The presents numbered some 600, many of them coming from the Danish, German and Russian Courts. The landlords have withdrawn their opposition to the passage of the Irish Land Law Reform Bill through the House of Commons. The drought has created a water famine in Leicester.
