The Faust Family.

This clever family appeared at the Public Hall last night and were greeted with a fall pit, though the front seats were not all occupied. This is however bat a sad sign of the times. The company went through their performances with spirit and were repeatedly encored. Every item of a long programme could be mentioned as having pleased the audience and it is difficult to say what pleased them the most. The bellringing was very good, the comio songs " caught on," and so on. The acrobatic performances were not to be surpassed by any troupe. The ease and precision with which every item was performed made the most difficult position appear but trifles. The little Miss Ruby ia able to flatten herself out so that she can place her feet on her shoulders and in that position allows a member of the family lying on his back with his feet in the air, to spin her round and round at a terrific rate — and the little one, at its finish, appears none the worse for the ' circulation ' but lands on her feet, steady, and makes ■her bow. Master Freddy also shows himself an active and neat acrobat besides being a capital clog danoer. Most of the items of the programme are iamiliar with the public and are well worth witnessing both by those who enjoy music as well as a hearty laugh. The company will probably make another visit shortly.
