The Otaki Electorate,
At the anniversary meeting of the Good Templars Lodge, Rongotea, on Wednesday night, Mr V. C. Ransom was presented with a numerously signed petition requesting him to allow him to be nominated as a candidate for election to Parliament for the Otaki electorate in the Prohibitionists' interest. Mr Ransom replied that it was a matter for serious consideration. He would take about a week to think it over and give his reply through the press. — Advocate.
