— • The House met on Tuesday after* noon and the Premier announced the resignation by the Colonial Treasurer of all his offices. Shortly after Mr Ward entered the House and made a speech by moving the adjournment, in which he stated he had resigned. He went fully into the past banking legislation and then in explaining how he came in his present position made personal attacks on Sir Robert Stout, Dr Newman, Messrs Duthie, Tolhurst, G. G. Stead, Hall, MacGregor, and J. G. Wilson. : The Premier defended the Treasurer and asserted " the blame of the whole matter rested on those who had persecuted his colleague," Mr Duthie, the Minister of Lands, and Dr Newman also spoke and Mr Ward replied. The House then rose. Wednesday. The Minister for Lands laid on the table the report of the Horo* whenua Commission and it was ordered to be printed. Mr J. G. Wilson assured the House that he had not as imputed to him, attacked Mr Ward privately in any newspaper or journal. The debate on the Addre39-in-Reply was continued till the House rosa.
