London. Sir M. Hicks-Beach, Chancellor of the Exchequer, has written to Sir Saul Samuel regretting that he is unable to comply with his request with reference to the income tax exemptions, as it would involve a heavy loss on the revenue. Hemp is unchanged. The English wheat market shows a weak tone, without quotabla change ; Continental inactive, and American dull. The Bradford wool market is very weak.
