The two men Fowler and Milsom, arrainged in connection with the Musswell Lodge, have been convicted and sentenced to death. Fowler, who confessed, was charged with the capital offence. Milsom on leaving the dock fought desperately, and seven constables bad to be called in to overpower him. Frozen mutton is unchanged. Lamb, Jd dearer. Nt-w Zealand hemp is unchanged. The English wheat marketis quiet, and inclined to weakness ; the Continental is changing a little for the better, and the American has a downard tendency. The Bradford wool market is dull. The Treasury barristers have procured some startling evidence at the Cape referring to Jameson's raid. The House of Commons sat for 20 hours continuously in discussing tb.3 Voluntary Schools Bill. There were some disorderly scenes, and several members wer* expelled. Mr Chaplin's Agricultural Eating Bill has passed through Committee. The only obstruction offered to the measure was that of a few Radicals and Irish members. The Sergeant-at-Arms removed Mr Micnael Davitt, Mr James O'Connor, members for Wicklow West, and Mr Macaleese (Konaghan) for refusing to vote. The House has adjourned until Ist June.
