Manawatu Rugby Union.
A meeting of the above was held last evening. Delegates were present from the Feilding, Foxton, Palmerston and Pirate clubs, and Mr L. Storey was voted to the chair. Correspondence was read from Mr E. Goodbehere, vice-president, forwarding donation of one guinea ; and from Foxton, Rongotea and Kotinga olubs forwarding lists of names and members. It was decided to request the Eotinga club to change their colours, owing to amber and black clashing with the Feiiding colours. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Goodbehere for hia donation. Owing to the resolution passed at Tast meeting in reference to dealing with protests clashing with the by-law 4, it was amended, and the rule will now read as follows : — That a Protest Committee of five be elected at the annual meeting, and that a subcommittee of three be elected to discharge the routine business, Palmersfcon North to be the headquarters of such Committee. The Protest Committee not having been elected at the annual meeting, the matter waa further adjourned to allow Foxton, Feilding, Kotinga, Red Stars and Rongotea Clubs to have their own delegates present, When the voting will take place. Some of the above Clubs were not represented at the meeting last even ing. Only Feilding and Foxfcon, besides the local Clubs, had delegates present. Messrs Roberts (Pirates), Fake (Palmerston), and Storey (Feilding) were elected a sub-committee to deal with routine business. w The election of junior match committee was held over until next meeting. The meeting was then adjourned Until next Monday evening at Palmerston North.— M. Times.
