The whole of the British expedition to the Soudan has now arrived at Wady Haifa.

King Menelek, in the peace negotiates with Italy, offered to agree to fix the Mareb River as tha frontier, bat insisted on the Italian protectorate over Abyesnnia being abandoned.

The Premier, the Marquis di Budini, agreed to this on condition that the prisoners were released and Menelek undertook to refuse to allow any other Power to assume a protectorate. Menelek, however, declined these conditions.

The Italian troops have defeated 11,000 Dervishes at Argotat. The latter lost 500 men, while the loss of the Italians was 100.
