Marriage.

" * This (Thursday) afternoon Mi Charles Arbon, of Meronui, Wairarapa, formerly of Manawatn, wae married to Miss Rockstrow, eldest daughter of Dr Rockstrow, says the Manawatu Timet. The wedding was solemnised by the Rev. W. Lee, and the ceremony was performed afc fche residence of fche bride's parents. The bride, who was attired in a handsome dress of white ivory silk, with the customary veil and wreath of orange blossoms, was attended by her sister, Miss Rosie Rockstrow, and by Miss Jessie Mowlem, eldest daughter of Captain Mowlem, as bridesmaids. Mr F. Rockstrow, brother of the bride, officiated as best man. Only the immediate connections of the two families were present. Mr Arbon, while living in fchis district, won the esteem" bf all with whom he was brought into contact. The bride also has been extremely popular during her residence in Palmerston, and a large number of friends took the opportunity of presenting the newlymarried couple with pleasing reminders of the ceremony. On Sunday last, Miss Rockstrow, on the eve of her marriage, was presented by her fellow teachers in the Wesleyan Sabbath School with a hotwater kettle and toasfc rack, coupled wifch many expressions of goodwill for her future happiness. We take this opportunity of tendering our congratulations to Mr and Mrs Arbon. They will take wifch them to their new honde in the Wairarapa the best wishes of many frienda on this coast.
