A Commission, composed of two British, two Venezuelan arid one American representative, will adjudicate on Yuruan incident, which occurred at the beginning of last year and gave rise to the boundary dispute. In reply to a question in the House of Commons about the Dongola expedition, Mr Curzon, Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs, said the Dervishes were massing, and not only was Dongola threatened, but also
the Marat Wells, Tokar and Kassalaj which ■, taken together, portended a serious advance. The expedition, as well as being a ■.■-', feguard to Egypt, would, Mr Curzon added, be a timely diversion that would greatly help Italy, The Egyptian Government has asked for half a million pounds of Egyptian money to form a reserve . fund for the coat of the expedition. The French newspapers loudly con* demn this proposal. The camel corps and battery Maxims are starting already. Ten steamers have arrived at WadyHalfa loaded with material to extend the railway from Sarras to Aksah. The whole force will be assembled by April Ist.' It is expected that General Kitchener will be in com* mand, with Colonel Rundle in'charge of the second division and Colonel Hunter of the third division.
