■» ■ Gorton & Son's Stock Repoat. Bulls, February, 17. Last week we held our usual monthly sale at Bulls, and a large sale 61 stock on behalf of Mr W. Baker, Mafeino, at the residence of Mr E. Short, Waituna. The at tendance of both sales was good and bidding was more spirited than of late, resulting in aearly all the stock * being sold, chiefly under the hammer at the following quotations— Bu le. Cattle.— Fat heifers, £3 17s ; 18 . month to 2 year Bteers, £2 2s ; yearfeelings, 80s ; weaners, 20s ; cows, from £8 10s to £5. Sheep.— 2 to 4 tooth withers, 6<* 8i to 6s lCd; 2 tooth mixed, 7s 6d ; fat ewes, 5s 9d to 6s ; 2 tooth ewes, 6i 9d ; Bomoey ewes, mixed age?.

Town and country buyers have been operating freely, and the last two months of 1895 will be remembered by our firm as the best for some years. We have been compelled to increase our working staff all round to meet the growing demand for our products, wbiob indicates that Seoul lar and Chisholm's furnituae haR become a household word in and around Wellington for cheapness, durability and design. We have just finished fitting up Mr Ross's Royal Hotel, Thorndon quay, to his entire ap* proval and satisfaction, and have spared no effort to make his house one of the most comfortable family hotels in the city. Our prices remain the same as last reported. Kapoc beds, 15* ; do pillows, 2s 6d ; feather beds, 50a ; do pillows, 4s 6d. As we have unlimitec capital at our disposal we are enabled to buy in the be*t markets for cash, Intending purchasers can therefore rely on getting the very best value ab our establishment.
