At the annual meeting of the Geographical Society, those present cheered the names of Mr Bhodes and Dr Jameson. Half of the British fleet which recently left Salonica has arrived at Alexandretta, in Northern Syria. The Queen has sent an autograph letter to the Sultan with reference to the Armenian troubles. News has been received that the British troops under Colonel Sir Francis Soott are within 20 miles of Coomassie, the capital of Ashanti.
