1 In Paris lately, a native of Brazil 1 of the name of Sudor Benafito, re- ' cently took a furnished room at a house, situated Boulevard Henry IV Never had landlady a more agreeable lodger. He overloaded her and her husband with attentions, the last being to present two tickets for stalls at the theatre. The tickets were duly used, and on returning home tbe poor people found all their furniture broken open. Six thousand francs, many valuable jewels, and the lodger had disappeared. Bena fito has since been arrested and de clares he lost all the money in betting on the day of the Grand Prix.
