Wellington, This day. The lievifl-Greatforci Ilailway deputation, consisting of Messrs J. G. Wilson, M.H.R., D. Fraser, J. Davies, V. C. Ransom and E. S. Thynne met the Premier at one o'clock to-day 1 . , . Alter Mr Wilson, hatt explained the position', the Preniier replied that he faad been thinking whether he might have done a"ri injustice j arid had therefore since concluded to have the question inquired into by an outside expert— a commercial man, and he would be guided wholly by his report. Evidence would then be taken* and the deputation Would have to see their views represented. The deputation thanked the Minister for his courtesy and retired.
