Two challenge raatcuds in one day, and good at that t True, one was only a boys' game, but; it was a good game, fairly well pjajed on both sides, and giving promise of better things in the near future. The rival teamsjnrere well, matched, the Sandon lads having irather t&£ superiority in weight and age; *■ but being more or less^ wanting in (?om« t bination ; ' •■ The flower of ttie Vi&i tore were unmistakably Hill (captain), and H. Bowater, the three-quarters, who both played a rattling good game, while Tomlinson, Mclntyre, and P. Bowater also worked hard and did yeoman's service tor their side. Of the home team, W. Thynne shone conspicuously as the star, playing a real good game, -and . always there when wanted. Peicyj Easton also came out of his shell in a surprising fashion, and astonished the natives greatly. H. Williams (captain), Sfcansell and Purcell also played well, although they were too carefully watched by their active opponents to do much. The game resulted in a well-earned victory for the Foxton School by two tries, 6 points to nil. At the close of the match the Sandon lads were entertained hospitably and in good style at Wa Is' establishment by iheVdung Foxtonians. So ended a good boys' game. _
