* At noon yesterday the ftetnrnlng Officer, Mr T. _\ Gibson", annddnded | that he had received the following nominations : — Henry Boi'der, proposed by A. E. Nixon and Thomas V. Proctor. William Hamer, proposed by A. E. Nixon and John W. Walsh. Philip Joseph Hennes3y, proposed by A. E. Nixon and John W. Walsh. Edmund John Burnard Osborne, proposed by W. B. Ehodes and Henry Coley. Richard Walden, proposed by P. J. Hennessy and John Walden. The returning officer declared the number of candidates to exceed the number of. vacancies, three, and said a poll would be taken on Thursday, the 12th inst.
