Golden Coolgardie.

A gieat rush has set in in the Kalgoorlie district, about two and a half miles south west of the Great Boulder mine. The discovery was made by the miners of the Great Boulder and Lake View mines. The formation is similar to the Boulder mines, and carries good gold right to the surface. The first assay was 40 ounces to the ton. Another, taken right across the formation, yielded 100 ounces to the ton. The gold is of a spongy character, and totally without metallic lustre. £5 shares have jumped to £100. This is the first instance where such very rich stone has been found so near the surface in the district.
