Mukaka River Board.
♦ The meeting of the above Board was held at the Library buildings this morning at 10.30 a.m. Present — R. Gardner (chairman), Mesßrs Nye, Langdon and Gower. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The Chairman laid on the table a statement showing the amounts which each ratepayer would have to pay for a loan of £4000. The Chairman stated he saw the Solicitor-General on the loan clause, and it had been decided the loan could be raised ai provided where not more than 100 ratepayer! are interested. He had also got the form the application should be made. Proposed by W. Langdon, seconded by B. Gower, That the iteps iMeeisary be immediately taken for obtaining two separate loans, vis., one of £2800 for No. 1 Subdivision »ncl a sum of £1200 for No. 2 Sub* JitWon.— Curried.
