The Speaker took the chair at 2 80 p.m. The following Bills were passed through committee and their final stages :— Auckland Harbour Board and Devon port Borough Exchange of Land Bill, Hawksbury Borough Council Reserves Vesting Bill, Puniu Reserves Bill, Wellington (City) Suburbs Water Supply Bill. The Waitnate Municipal Reserves Bill waß read a second time, and passed through all stages. The Wellington City (Streets) Bill was killed in committee. The Threshing Machine < wnerg' Lien Bill passed all its stages. The Criminal Code Act Amend* raent Bill (No. 2) passed through committee. Progress was reported on the Un claimed Monies Bill. The Coal Mines Act Amendment Bill passed through committee. The Defamation Bill was killed. The following bills which passed through committee earlier in the evening were read a third time and passed through their final stages : • Criminal Code Act Amendment Bill (No. 2), Coalmines Act Amend* ment Bill and Counties Act Amend* ment Bill. The House rose at 0.45 a.m.
