Some New Bills.
The Bill introduced by Mr G. W, Russell to provide fur the revaluation of lands leased in perpetuity was decisively rejected. It proposed, tfujr valuation of lands leased frouv fc&sL Ccown every ten years. The Coroners' Inquests Bill: provides for the payment of jurors, and has passed its third reading.! By the discussion which took plao© >i^ f appears probable another Bill will oe " introduced doing away with Coroner's juries. The Government do not object to settlers giving their time for nothing but dread an antioi* pated expenditure of £1200 a year. Threshing Machine Owners' Lien Bill is to empower the owner or lesseee of any threshing machine to retain possession of so much of the grain threshed by him as will repre- , sent the sum due to him, and if the same is not paid within thirty days from the completion of the work he _ may sell the grain so retained $p&w apply the proceeds to pay himsan and to hand the balance to his enjjA Ployer. y U)
