Doctor's Guarantee Fund.
A meeting of the Committee wai held last evening at Whyte's Hotel, Foxton. Present — The Mayor (chairman), and Messrs Stansell, Cuitis, Stewart and Bay. Mr Curtis reported that the sub* scriptions- promised amounted to £107 but that only £16 had bean paid in. The question of advertising for ft Doctor was discussed but it wag con* sidered premature to do so until the subscriptions had been paid in. The following resolution was moved by Mr W. S. Stewart, seconded by Mr J. R. Stansell and carried unanimously, " That a circular be forwarded to each subscriber stating the necessity of with* holding advertisement for a Doctor until such time as the subscriptions promised had been paid in, The meeting was adjourned until Monday next.
