A Lady's Letter.

Wellington, July 4, 1895. The Wellington Dramatic Students gare their first performance of the • School Miltms ' in the Opera House on Tuwday night. Those taking part were the Misses Newton (2), Hill, Parsons, Letham and Watson (2) who all acted splendidly. Mias J. Newton was the • School Mistress ' and acted and looked her part to perfection, her skirt dance and song in the last act gained much applause ; she was dressed very becomingly in white "muslin made very full of course and bordered round the hem with spangles, the puff sleeves and watteau drape trom the shoulders were of yellow satin, her gold crown was sparkling with coloured stones as also was the trimming on her oorsage, and the effect waa very pretty in the movements of tile dance. -The principle gentlemen's part was taton by Mr Morris Fox, who fftine as an actor is already widespread. Miss Johnston wore a pretty blaok gown with a light silk yest, her sister- wore a similar gown.
