Thursday, Jult 4.

B. Gray v. W. Hanier.— Claim £2 14s 6d. Mr Ray for plaintiff. No appearance of defendant. Judf* mcnt for amount and costs.

A. S. Bias v. W. Howa.— Claim £85 11s Bd. Mr Crump appeared for plaintiff. Mr Hankine for de« fendant. The case was adjourned by consent of both parties to Monday at Palmerston.

P. Henneesy & Co. v. W. Owen. — Claim £10 19s ud. No appearanct of defendant. Judgment for amount and costs, 235.

W. H. Howe v. E. Gascolgne.— ■ Claim £21 11s lOd. Mr Hankinß for plaintiff.

This was v question of accounts and entailed the history of a dishonoured cheque for £10 which got into the hands of a third party. There was also a claim for £7 money lent and interest and some potatoes. After hearing the evidence of the plaintiff and defendant the Magistrate struck out all the items in the claim with the exception of tht 410, for which he gave judgment but refused cosfca.

Execution was stayed for 14 dayi on the application of defendant.
