A special meeting was held at the Library Buildings on Tuesday night at 7.80. Present— The Mayor (T. P. Williams), Ors. Jenks, Hamer and Westwood. Tenders reoeived for leasing the Target Reserve were opened as fol* lowssUjUigqst H. Dember offered £10 per annum ; J. R Whyfee, for one year, £6, or for 8 years at £5 10s ; A. S. Easton, £10 5s per annum for three years ; H. Coley, £12 10s per annum for three years ; and Robinson Bros, offered £12 per annum for three, .years..,-,... Proposed by (Dr Hamer, seconded by Cr Westwood— That the tender of H. Coley for leasing the Target Reserve- at; : -£12 10s per annum for thre^.years be.accepted, and that pos« session be given on the Ist June. Carried. The cjerk ; re,ad the estimates and expenditure for the present year, which, ; flea; adopted, the balance available foe expenditure being £810 5s 7d. „ The Mayor said he would advise the balance to be allocated as follows :— Mofcoa Road, £150 ; Lady's Mile, £75 j Avenue Road. £B*s; Wirokino. Road, £85 ; Nos. 2 and 6 Line writings, £15 5s 7d. The Council then considered the schedule of tools for the Wirokino Ferry, and it was proposed by Cr Weatwood, seoonded by Or Jenlcs— That tenders be called for making, painting, writing and fixing a new toll-board for . Wirokino Ferry, tenders to be in by next ordinary meeting of the Council on 3rd June, .at 7 p.m. The Council then adjourned.
