Public Works Committes. Report.
I beg to submit the following report from the Works Committee :— The daymen in the early part of. . last month were engaged in the 1. reforming of the Wirokino road Imt ~ were unable to finish same on account of the flood, during which time to date they have been employed in cleaning the following drains, Avenue and Tram road, Coley and Parcell street, w«r£«|bty are now at work.
Your Committee propose -,th»t during the month the following work be attended to:— The various cattings be repaired ; the bad part of the Lady's Mile the other side of -the gate be filled in ; if any metalling 9 done they will be employed in spreading. ' ■-. j, Your Committee would ijfgest - thai tenders be called for deliVifing 800 yds gravel between the Bridge and the Ferry on the Wirokmo roid to repair the bad parts. Theyirauld also ask you to consider the advisability of calling for tenders lor ihe claying and forming the Lady's Mile.
