The Japanese have captured the island of Yuchow and also Haichojg* with a loss to the enemy of 800; T *■!' The Japanese oontinue to advance, and their fleet are now bombarding Tai-Wan, on the Island of Formosa, Owing to the outrage committed on Li Hung Chang the Mikado has decreed an unconditional armistice, which continues until the conclusion of the negotiations for peace are brought to a close. Meanwhile the Japanese troops remain where they are at present stationed.
