A few days ago the father, Sir Edraond Lechmer.e (who was M.P. for the Evesham division of Worcestershire, and in his 69th year) died very suddenly when about to address bis constituents. So his son becomes Sir Edmund Lechmere, Bart, and his wife, formerly Miss Samuels, ., xjf , Christchuroh, New^Zealand, becomes Lady Lechmere.
