At the Conference of repvesenta* tives of N.Z. Jockey Clubs held at Christchurch a report of the select committee was agreed to, but which is not to come into force until the Ist August, 1895, and shall not be binding on any club notifying tb,ey do not wish to come under jthe resolutions. .. -. The report agrees that Racing Conferences be continued as at present constituted. That it appoints a committee of seven members to act during the recess ; it 3 duties to be as a court of appeal ; the chairman to call meet* ing?, and if desirable a sub-com-mittee may be appointed to visit a district ; the decision of committee or subcommittee to be- final. In each Metropolitan District there shall be a District Racing Committee composed of four representatives elected by the Metropolitan Club and three by the Country Clubs, who -shall meet from time to time. These shall annually make recommendations to the Conference as to the apportionment of Totalisator Licenses for the ensuing year. On the motion of Mr J. G. ; Wilson it was resolved that the Wanganui Couutry Clubs have two votes.;, at future Conferences.
