THE V.B.C. SPRING MEETING.
Cup Day at Flemington attracted an enormous attendance. The number of people on the flat was especially Urge, and the only portion of the course showing a falling-off in attendance was the hill. The Go vernors of Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania were amongst those present. The following are the results ot the racing :— Hurdle Eace, of 250 soys. KiUitcrankie 1 Stfftnge Device 2 Sabrina 8 Eight started. Time, lrain. 6isec. The Melbourne Cup, a handicap of a 5000 soys ; second, 1000 soys ; .•third, 500 soys out of the stake. Two miles.
