Ibbetson, sending a tracing of the township of Awahuri, also forwarding his account. ; From clerk Manawatu Road Board,'" saying the Board had resolved to giye. the contractor for the Awahiiri' Bridge, by way of inducement to complete within the specified time a bonus of £100 if completed within six months, of £50 within seven months, and of £25 within eigfft months. It was proposed by Cr Robinson , seconded by Cr Hammond, That the bridges on Main Drain Road, shifted by tha floods, be replaced, and the road be put in order for wheel traffic to Oroua Bridge, and the overseer call on Mr McMillan with regard to a portion of the Taikorea road, and make it fit for wheel traffic. — Carried. . Proposed by Cr Ransom, seconded by Cr Strang, That Mr Clark be informed the Campbell Biding being very low in funds is not in a position to do the work complained of;- by him at present, but it will receive attention as soon as the riding is in funds. — Carried. / - Proposed by Cr Ransom, seconded by Cr Hammond, 'lhat Mr Brisoo; x be informed the metalling, of Kopani; Road would entail a cost of from' £500 to £600, which is quite beyond the present income of the Ridings . concerned, but that the overseer will be instructed to put a man on to fill up the ruts, and make, it. passable for traffic— Carried. y^. Tenders 1 3 be in by noon of the next meeting of this Council. — Carried. The overseer's report was read. Proposed by Ci* Taylor, seconded by'Or gtrang, That Mr E. G.
