Monday, October 8. The Speaker took the chair at 7 30 p m. The Licensing Bill was again permitted and discussed up to clause 11 when progress was reported. The Huse adjourned at 2.15 a.m. Tuesday, Octoher 9. The Speaker took the chair at 2.30 p.m. The Native Land Court Bill was committed and certain minor amendments made. The Bill was then read a third time and passed. A discussion on the amendment made by Governor's message in the Railways Bill, providing that the service under the .Railway Commissioners should not count for the Civil Service, but the amendment was carried by 41 votes to 22. The Offensive Publications Act Amendment Bill, already passed by the Legislative Council, was put through all its stages without amendment. The Alining Companies Bill w«3 put through committee without material amendment. The Indictable Offences Summary Jurisdiction Bill was read a second time. The Licensing Bill was furthei considered in committee, and after passing one clause progress was re* ported. The House adjourned at 2,50 a.m.
