HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
Friday, October 5. The Speaker took the chair at 2.80 p. in, The New Zealand Consols- Bill was received from the Legislative Couucil with amendments. lit-jjicseniauves Were appointed for a conference with managers from the Council. The Native Land Court Bill was again committed. Amendments having been made the Bill was passed through committee. The Licensing Bill went into committee but a determined ..effort was made to refuse to consider the Bill at that time of night (1.20 a.m.) The discussion lasted all through Friday night, and it was not till 10.45 on Saturday morning that an adjournment was carried.
