A committee meeting was held yesterday afternoon to receive and open tenders, at the Library building. Present — The Mayor and Gr Hamer. Tenders were received as follows : Section 288, G. Spring offerred 45b a year for 8 years ; L. Ahem, 45s a year for 8 years, or 50s a year for 7 years ; H. Coley, 85s a year for 7 years. For Public Pound — B. Spelman, £5 a year for £8 years. Cemetery Reserve—- Samuel How* an, £5 a year for 7 years. Seotion 260— John Rutherford, 85s for 8 or 7 years. Target Reserve— Robinson Bros., £15 a year. It was resolved that J. Ruther* ford's tender of £4 5s for a term of three years be accepted. It was resolved , that 8. Eowan's tender for lease of Cemetery Reserve at lM: a year be accepted for 8 years. It was resolved that B. Speknan's v tender- be accepted for a term of three years at the annual rental of £5. It was resolved that Mrs Letitia Ahern's tender for section 288 at £2 10s a year for a term of 7 years be accepted.
