Race Tipsters.

A London paper says :-— " The Duke of Portland has done some service to the national sport of rac ing by denouncing, out of recent personal experience, the advertising worthies who extract money from the pockets of foolish persons on the pretence of 'tipping winners.' In order to try ' what information these wise men could impart' to him about this year's Ascot meeting, the Duke sent the sum of £7 14s to thirteen of the prophets.
