The Londonderry Mine.
The Post's Melbourne correspondent confirms the sale of the above mine to Lord Fingall, for a syndicate for £250,000 and adds :— -Until a company is floated in London, the mine will be shut down, only sufficient labour being employed to comply with the labour conditions. The windlass will be removed, and the shaft will be closed up, while a spiked"7ft iron fence will be erected around the rich shoot on the surface. Tbiff will be padlocked and sealed. The Earl of Fingall, Mr Cassey, and party have chartered the entire mail coach . on Tuesday, and have engaged a special escort to accompany them, as they are taking £20,000 worth of specimens from the Londonderry mine which the Earl is taking to London.
