Fire at Palmerston North.

A disastrous fire 0- -tit-fed at Palmerston North oh Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, by which the jsreiiiises of Mr feett (coachbuilder,) Messrs Smith and Hall (stahle* keepers), Mr Wood (blacksmith), and Messrs Browning and Tory (coachbuilders), were totally destroyed. The total damage is estimated at £3/>OO, covered by insurance to the extent of £1500, as follows : — £600 in the Victoria office, £250 in the Standard offlce, £100 in the Alliance office*, and £§§0 in the New Zealand ofHce. Three horses were burned. All the vehicles iv the coach-.building establishments were saved, — Press Associations.
