The Foxton team met the Motuiti team on Saturday afternoon in Mr A. S. Easton's paddockt The game Was rather onesided the Foxton men winning by 20 points to nothing. F. Young and A. Shadbolt secured two tries each, and 0. Barber and A. Symons one try eaoh. Howard kicked a goal. * The following was the Foxton team :— Full back, P. Williams ; three-quarter, F. Young, J. Howard and P. Robinson ; half-backs, 0. Barber, F. Shadbolt and G. Chuck ; forwards, A. Symons, 0. Robinson, Delmah, Austin, H. Williams, A. Shadbolt, W. Duff and W. Liddell. The following was the Motuiti team ; — Full back, Waretini ; three-, quarters, Piki, N. Heta, Quihi ; halfbacks, Nepia, Mick ; Wings, Mete Urn ; forwards, Roa, Hana, Tuna, Rubine, Rakina, Rota and Hereaka. The Foxton team desire it to be known that they are muoh obliged to Mr Easton for the use of his paddock. On Tuesday a match, Married v. Single will be played on the same ground.
At Wellington the Wellington footballers beat the New South Wales team by nine points to five, on Saturday afternoon.
