A football match came off on Saturday afternoon in Whyte's Paddock. The players were principally a Native team from.MoMHMknd a Foxton team. The natives were unfortunate in not being able to place their best men in the field, and consequently were over-matched in every department of the game. P. Robinson secured three tries and a potted goal, and A. Shadbolt and 0. Robinson also secured -Jpifi«« ff making a total <)f 19 points; ©tfU'only score for the losers was a try. v by L.
