Mr Larnach, resuming the financial debate spoke most strongly upon all the proposals in the Budget. Mr McGuire followed and was not wholly favourable to the proposals and asserted it was most unjust and cruel of the Government to collect the land tax four months too early. Major Harris, Messrs R. McKenzie, R. Thompson, F. Pirani, Buddo, Hall- Jones and Maslin also spoke. Mr Mills moved the adjournment. The House rose at 12.20 a.m.
